Hi guys,
In the prolongation of @ErmesT's project #LocalGuidesCleanTheWorld, I had a thought:
In his project, Ermes has identified 5 steps: Education, documentation, actions, publication and best practice.
How can we be an actor of this project at our level?
- Some will go to school to teach kids, students on how to become a better citizens...
- Some will share documentations of polluted areas....
- Some will take actions such as clean the planet, schools, beaches....
- Some will shown cleanup actions on the area identified before.....
- Some will share positive example of reduce, recycle and reuse....
We can do lot of things alone, together and with other.
What do I mean by "our level"?
I mean our nearest environement, our home. How can we bring this project in our home?
- Educate ourself to reduce, reuse and recycle,
- Documente our waste : How many kilograms of green rubbish composted, how many kilograms of recycle rubbish (carton, paper, glass, metal, plastic...), how many kilograms of reuse, thing given to association and kilograms of rubbish not recycable.
- Take actions by reuse incentive, compost practice, responsible purchasing acts by limiting over-packaged products.
- Publicate how we have reduce our waste by comparing the total of rubbish before and after,
- Share best pratices
If we keep in mind our goal to clean the world, why don't we challenge ourself on reduce, recycle and reuse at home. We should not forget: "The better rubbish is the one we don't make!"
Who is ready to participate to this challenge with me?
If you accept this challenge, I will ask you to follow and to notice your rubbish for 1 month as here bellow. Nothing will stop you to carry on after.
Date | Name | Members in Family | Country | Before/after actions | Kilograms of green rubbish composted | Kilograms of recycle rubbish | Kilograms of reuse product | Kilograms of not re-cycable products |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
We will see how we can improve ourself and how much we have reduced our rubbish.
I hope lot of LG friends will follow me in this excercice.
Thanks in advance and see you around
Jul
PS: Feel free if you want to add suggestions in this post.

Hi @Julien44, this seems like an excellent idea! ☺️ I'm sure that everyone on board will love it.
I just have one question, what do u mean by this table?
Before/after actions |

@Anonymous,
For example, if somebody doesn't compost, they will have lot kg of not recycable rubbish. This is "before action".
Once they will do compost, they have more kg in green rubbish composted and less in not recycable rubbish. This is "after action".
In my case, I do compost. I will try do more. For example, I will try to buy more responsible products with less packaging.
