As of now, no body knows details of LG Summit 2018. 

Whether it will be, dates, venue, number of selection, criteria etc nothing is known.

For summit 2017 they choose on certain parameters , some Parameters are :-

1:To be local Guide level 5 , I think this will raise this year maybe 7 or 8 

2:To Contribute on map on regular basis , every day for example

3: to be active member in your community as Meetup hosting 

4: To engage with other local Guides on Connect in  Respectful way 🙂

I guess usually the LG Summit is organized in the month of October and applications posting happens in the month of April. Not sure whether its the same way for LG Sumit 2018. Better is to wait for next year to come and then search for details on the community or google.

I have never applied in any Local Guides Summit before, but I am looking forward to joining one in the near future. Any detail when would it be? 

For those who have attended several Local Guides Summit, what is the best way to improve my chances of making myself into the cut? I understand that thousands wants to join the event, but only few makes into the list. Thanks.
