I'm in love with L'Aquila and surroundings.
My most viewed photo is a (sad) photosphere i took some time after the earthquake.
I hope that L'Aquila will be great again.

Hi @LucioV. Thank you for the reply!
Fortunately, things are continuously getting better in L'Aquila.
There are many completely restructured building in the centre. Shops, bars, offices, restaurants, pizzerias, and pubs have been reopening there. This gives an enthusiastic sensation, even if you can still feel the sad atmosphere caused by the 2009 earthquake.
Moreover, the nightlife is very dynamic, with many people chatting and walking in the centre, even in Piazza Palazzo (the picture you posted). There are some brand new pubs around that square, where one can relax, grab a bite, have a coffee, and drink a good glass of wine.
I will publish some pictures that can better describe what I tried to say.
L'Aquila is going to be great again (maybe better!!!) 🙂

I have not read other discussions about L'Aquila in English.
Maybe, writing in this international language can be useful for the huge number tourists (and not) that come to Italy. (even with some mistakes! he he)
🙂 🙂
