Kenyan Delicacies

Get to Thika and find out what this gret industrial town in the heart of Kenya has to offer. The people are friendly and the local cuisines are in plenty. Seeing as this region is full of Kikuyus the main delicacy here is Kienyeji.... A blend of mashed potatoes and kales. This dish is normally served with beef stew or chicken in some occasions.

This however does not mean that Thika doesn't enjoy the main Kenyan delicacy of 'Nyama Choma' as known locally. This is roasted goat meat which is loved by most of the local population.

Re: Kenyan Delicacies

I can vouch for that. The dish he's describing is called mokimu and it is delicious. If you are visiting Kenya consider passing by Thika. It's just an hours drive from Nairobi.
