I am a bit of an explorer by nature and when I first arrived in Tokyo one of the first things I had to buy was a bicycle. Once happy with my two wheeled choice I couldn't wait to have a good look around my neighborhood; I should say, extended neighborhood.
The more I looked the more I found to be of great interest. One of the most interesting discoveries I made was the amount of rivers and steams that flow though this great city.
These rivers are great because most of them have walkway/cycleways running alongside of them (great planning by the river bank flood protection authority (My city back home took a long time to figure that one out).
