Hello Everyone,

My name is Mike and I live in Miami, FL.

I am new to this forum. The reason I am here is because I got fed up with people (companies) spamming Google Maps.

I will post very detailed reports, after I investigated each case and I will provide very clear proves to my claims.

Thanks for your help with reporting spammers on Google Maps. In addition to what @Shirley mentioned, please take the opportunity to omit contact information/details for these spam profiles and places in your posts. While we do have private messaging for contacting and chatting with your fellow Local Guides, we don't encourage the posting of sensitive information, even if it's to report a spammer. This may result in your posts being moved to our own spam quarantine, which would defeat the purpose of what you're trying to accomplish here.

I just want to make sure I got it right.

My reports of spam should be posted in the General Discussion? or another forum? 

Do I need to choose USA as the area since he spam I am reporting is in the usa?

Hey @simplyhatespam,

You can refer to this post for more information on reporting issues on Google Maps, including fake business, reviews and photos. Once you've raised the flag on Maps, our team of specialists will then investigate the matter further. 

Here's a tip: if you report a photo from a fake review or business, you'll be able to leave a comment as to why you're flagging the item.

Ok.So I understand that I need to report spam, fake listings, duplicate listings, permanently closed places ONLY through Google Maps, by clicking "Suggest an edit " 

and I have to click on one of the listing's pictures and flag it so I could post explanations and proves. Please, understand that my reports and proves contain live links. Will that work ? Is that the ONLY way to report those issues? Postings the reports on the general discussion of LOCAL GUIDE CONNECT IS BASICALLY forbidden?
