Marhaba! My Name is Voughx, I am 25 and a local Guide from Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Mapping was really my thing since i love natures geographical features.
Then started mapping using Google Map maker since 2012, from then many places, information and edits where added. Being a local guide doing it voluntarily
no one force me to this, i just love it. As when local guides send me an email be a local guide in your community, Without any hesitation, I get started.
I am from Philippines but since i work in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, I am local guide here, being in a place where there is language barrier are very hard
but since i love doing this, I have to do something. Many places labeled in Arabic, now when i add places i consider putting or write it Arabic since i can read and write Arabic
but for places where already written in Arabic, I will add English (Vice-Versa). When i started contributing i got addicted, because some places still not existing in the map.
Since i am in Saudi Arabia, most people here are expats, Over 10 Million expatriate and over 20 Million Saudis,
Imagine the information i shared has seen 1 and half miliion views now
i am happy Helping Millions of people who uses google maps to feel at home anywhere they go. Happy Mapping!

- What do I love about being a Local Guide: As a Local Guide i love taking photos, reviewing places and the one i love most is adding new places that never existed before, because i discovered in my community there are lot of missing places and i was able to add them successfully.

When My Father died i was a teenager my family give me the Shopping Responsibility with a tight budget to buy all the grocery list, so i practice to search about best quality with best price & now after 20 years i have my own family i still do the same, I LOVE SHOPPING compare prices ,wait the 70% sale
the free parking not crowded places , & i love to share how i enjoy my time with my kids which resturant , children museum , Gardens , Playing Areas .....
How I Hear About Local Guides :
its a funny story : i visit Netherland for business i stay in a nice Hotel and go vegetarian for two days in the 3rd day i go with friend to a turkish restaurant and it was a very very tasty we try the majority of the menu , when i come back i upload the pics on google maps, @ that time i don't know about Local guides after couple of days i receive an email from google : (Thanks for adding photos to Google Maps! Your New Photo is a great addition to google maps Millions of people rely on photos like yours when they search for places. Thanks for sharing your photos with the world.
