Images posted on Connect disappearing from Photos and my Device

Images that I have posted on Connect have been disappearing from both Google Drive, Google Photos and my device to boot.

 

Has anyone experienced this before?

 

When I go looking for them in Maps they show reversed edited and uncropped making my work look sloppy.

 

Do we know what is going on here?

I am going to begin taking snapshots of my contributions on Connect and on Maps I already keep a complete record  I will also record the links/urls
