How to share more details about places on Google Maps

This July, we’re celebrating restaurant culture around the world. Every time you go out to eat with friends and family, you can take amazing photos and write reviews about the setting and food. Your experience will help others plan outings with their family and friends.

Can’t find your favorite restaurant ? Make sure to add it on Google Maps to help others discover it.

On Android and Chrome for mobile, you can also add specific details that make it easier to decide where to go. Things like whether a place offers free WiFi, can accommodate wheelchairs, and if it accepts certain types of payment like credit and debit cards.

Follow these steps to try it:

1. Using your phone, search for a place on Google Maps and tap the name to open it
2. Select “Know what features this place has? >” (above the address)
3. It will open a new screen that says “Describe this place” at the top
4. Tap the correct info you would like to add
5. When you’re done, tap the arrow at the top right to save!
