Hi @AriMar,
Thank you!
Have a look some of my today's photos.
The station was opened in 1937. This is the 14th station built in the Moscow Metro. For today, there are 222 stations in the Moscow metro, 44 of which are recognized as cultural heritage sites.
The station was recently restored with the reconstruction of the original interiors of the 1930s.

Thank you for the interesting article. I think that the metro's are very suitable for the lower income people and global-warming-stopping people. The red station in Stockholm is looking like socialist propaganda on one of the photos. Good tips you gave to use a tripod and thinking about angles et.c. when photographing. I am catholic btw which is good because I wont ever be an alcoholist for example.

The name of the station, as well as the design is a reference to Futurism and its prominent Russian exponent Vladimir Mayakovsky. Considered to be one of the most beautiful in the system, it is one of the most famous Metro stations in the world.
It is most well known for its 34 ceiling mosaics by Alexander Deyneka with the "24-Hour Soviet Sky" theme.
