Google Local Guide events in South Africa

Hello everyone, I had some problems as questions which are not answered..

I am from South Africa(Durban), my problem is that I have been searching for local guide events hosted by Google for local guides and I never heard about any of them. We have local guides here in South Africa and I am  one of them. Does anyone know any event that was held here or which is to be held in South Africa, I wish to take part and to become one of the best members. I have been doing this as a hobby for a while now and I would like to meet some of our members to share or gain new skills and how to improve google map and google street viewer as I had been taking 360 degrees photos using my smartphone.

I hope someone will respond to me with detailed information, on how google can launch or establish those events in South Africa so that I can take part also.

Actually as far i concern google doesn't that types of programmes that types of events you're talking about that is called MEET UP an event hosted by a local guide like you.

But one big event hosted by Google is called SUMMIT where Google invite top and best contributors all over the world but that is a selective type process and very fortunate local guides get a chance.(you have to apply for summit then if you're​ selected​ then they will invite you to join but this year still not announced stay tuned for that)
