Google Allo is an instant messaging mobile app developed by Google. It includes a virtual assistant and provides a "smart reply" function that allows users to reply to messages with automatic suggestions instead of typing. It was announced at Google I/O on May 18, 2016, and launched on September 21, 2016. The app is available on Android and iOS.
Before launch, Google touted strong privacy in the app, with particular emphasis on messages stored "transiently and in the non-identifiable form". However, at launch, privacy was significantly rolled back, with Google now keeping logs of messages indefinitely (or until the user actively deletes messages) in an effort to improve app features. Additionally, privacy advocate and NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden was critical of Allo using unencrypted chat messages by default, with an opt-in feature for full encryption, rather than fully encrypted by default, writing on Twitter that "Google's decision to disable end-to-end encryption by default in its new #Allo chat app is dangerous, and makes it unsafe. Avoid it for now."
Google Now is an intelligent personal assistant developed by Google. Google Now, including Now cards, voice search and commands, is available in the Google app for Android and iOS. Now cards are also available for Chrome OS in the notification centre. Voice search and limited voice commands are available in the Google app for Microsoft Windows, and through Google Search when using the Google Chrome web-browser. Google Now uses a natural language user interface to answer questions, make recommendations, and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of web services. Along with answering user-initiated queries, Google Now proactively delivers to users information that it predicts (based on their search habits) they may want. It was first included in Android 4.1 ("Jelly Bean"), which launched on July 9, 2012, and was first supported on the Galaxy Nexus smartphone. The service became available for iOS on April 29, 2013, without most of its features. In 2014 Google added Now cards to the notification centre in Chrome OS and in the Chrome browser, however, the notification centre was later removed entirely from the Chrome browser.Popular Science named Google Now the "Innovation of the Year" for 2012.Google Now competes against assistants such as Apple's Siri and Microsoft's Cortana.
Google Maps is a web mapping service developed by Google. It offers satellite imagery, street maps, 360° panoramic views of streets (Street View), real-time traffic conditions (Google Traffic), and route planning for travelling by foot, car, bicycle (in beta), or public transportation.
Google maps began as a C++ desktop program designed by Lars and Jens Eilstrup Rasmussen at Where 2 Technologies. In October 2004, the company was acquired by Google, which converted it into a web application. After additional acquisitions of a geospatial data visualisation company and a real-time traffic analyser, Google Maps was launched in February 2005. The service's front end utilises JavaScript, XML, and Ajax. Google Maps offers an API that allows maps to be embedded on third-party websites and offers a locator for urban businesses and other organisations in numerous countries around the world. Google Map Maker allows users to collaboratively expand and update the service's mapping worldwide.

Google Drive is a file storage and synchronisation service created by Google. It allows users to store files in the cloud, synchronise files across devices, and share files. Google Drive encompasses Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, an office suite that permits collaborative editing of documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, forms, and more.
Google Drive was launched on April 24, 2012, and had 240 million monthly active users in October 2014. Google said in September 2015 that they had over one million organisational paying users of Google Drive
Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. It was announced in May 2015 and spun out from Google+, the company's social network.
In May 2016, one year after launch, Google Photos had over 200 million monthly active users, who had uploaded at least 13.7 petabytes of photos/videos, with over 2 trillion labels having been applied (24 billion of those being selfies), and 1.6 billion animations, collages and effects had been created based on user content.
Google Play is a digital distribution service, including a digital media store, the Google Play Store (originally the Android Market), operated and developed by Google. It serves as the official app store for the Android operating system, allowing users to browse and download applications developed with the Android SDK and published through Google. Google Play also serves as a digital media store, offering music, magazines, books, movies, and television programs. It previously offered Google hardware devices for purchase until the introduction of a separate online hardware retailer, Google Store, on March 11, 2015.

Gmail is a free, advertising-supported email service developed by Google. Users can access Gmail on the web and through the mobile apps for Android and iOS, as well as through third-party programs that synchronise email content through POP or IMAP protocols.
Gmail started as a limited beta release on April 1, 2004. It exited beta status on July 7, 2009.
Gmail had an initial storage capacity offer of 1 GB per user, a significantly higher number than the 2 MB its competitors such as Hotmail offered at that time. Today, the service comes with 15 GB of free storage. Individual Gmail messages, including attachments, may be up to 25 MB. In order to send larger files, users can insert files from Google Drive into the message.
