Though I am new to food crawl as I just recently was taught about this at our connect Live 2018 in Abuja Nigeria. I must say that aside what you mentioned, food photos can be taken in ways that it can tell it's own stories and it should have some rough edges not necessarily well sliced, area photos are also valuable and some times photos can be taken while enjoying the meals.
