Tandem Skydiving over the Palm, Dubai, UAE.

In September 2011 I did the Dubai Tandem Skydive. What made this jump and experience to remember is the location and the views.

The photographer that took my photos used to work at Taupo Tandem Skydive and he recognised me as I had jumped at Taupo prior. This isn't the first time I've come across someone I've met doing skydiving around the world.

Re: Dubai Tandem Skydive

Hi @TheEagleEye ,

You keep surprising me with you skydives! Now Dubai? This must have been a different experience just because you get to see the man-made islands from the sky. I wish I could be more adventurous like you.

Did you have the chance to visit the city as well? Share some photos if you have some. 🙂

Re: Dubai Tandem Skydive

Anyone can get out and be adventurous @MoniDi , just have to do it.

I did see a lot of Dubai but not always taking photos. I've actually been very much the entire UAE as I lived in Abu Dhabi for 7 1/2 years and my job involved a lot of travel throughout the country and to very remote desert areas too. I can look at a map of UAE and know I've been pretty much everywhere.

Hi @TheEagleEye,

I'm a bit jealous about the feeling you've got when you were flying over Dubai. It mush have been great! The view from above is outstanding! It's even more dashing when you meet someone you've met before when you went skydiving.

I'm looking forward to see your new adventures 🙂

Re: Dubai Tandem Skydive

Hey @MortenSI Hello @TheEagleEye !

Right up my bucket list and exactly what I had in mind and glad to know that @TheEagleEye already had this wonderful experience.:) like a true adventure enthusiast! Will certainly take more advice from him before I take the skydive!;) The last time I visited Dubai was in 2004 on the way back from a project in Riyadh. Back then we had a thrilling Desert Safari ride in about 15-20 land rovers with deflated tyres doing the most amazing drop down manoeuvres with ace drivers riding almost vertical on the dunes;) I do remember the day ended watching a beautiful sunset with a sumptuous dinner and belly dancing.:)

Cheers.

Re: Dubai Tandem Skydive

That's exactly what I thought @Prodeep,!

Your trip in 2004 sounds awesome, I would have loved driving around the desert in those big Land Rovers. I did it once in Egypt, but I was on an ATV and it was a lot of fun.

However I think driving in bigger cars would give you more of a thrill, and I must try that one day.
