Cu Chi Tunnels

We took the boat trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels from Ho Chi Minh City which in itself was a really good trip and good sightseeing, and fun speeding through the water plants. We were given an excellent audio tour by guide who was very knowledgeable and had a good fun personality. We were able to enter some tunnel entries and some replicated tunnels. We also did some shooting. I now tell my friends that I have shot live rounds in Vietnam. Lunch was supplied afterwards as part of the cost. My wife and I are vegetarian and we were catered for very well. The boat trip was just as much fun and the one going. We would recommend the Cu Chi Tunnels for every tourist itinerary and recommend the boat trip if you are going from Ho Chi Minh City.

We visited April 2015. It is amazing what the Viet Cong Soldiers made and how gruesome the traps were. It is a shame this had to occur in such a long drawn our Vietnam war. See the Google Maps information here https://goo.gl/maps/TPWsA4Z73Fx

Re: Cu Chi Tunnels

@TheEagleEye - that's a true discovery - the Cu Chi tunnels. A source of frustration for the US troops. Thanks for the share....! Tunnel warfare.... Tunnel ferrets.... Tunnel rats.... Operation Crimp - Operation Cedar Falls - there was so much to read when I searched about Cu Chi tunnels and Vietnam War. Thank you.
