Re: Combining two of my favorite things

@KarenVChin I can promise you my home smelled fantastic! The recipe has been in my family for long but I don't think it's anything special. Here it goes:

175 g butter (room warm)
1½ dl light syrup
2½ dl brown sugar
1 teaspoon minced clove
1 teaspoon minced ginger
2 teaspoons minced cinnamon
2 teaspoons minced Seville orange
1½ dl whipped cream (unwhipped)
10 dl flour
2 teaspoons bicarbonate

Mix butter, syrup, sugar and spices in a bowl or kitchen appliance. Stir in the cream in the seasoning mixture. Add the flour mixed with bicarbonate and work together to form a dough. Let rest in the fridge for about a day. Take out the dough 1 hour before baking. Put the oven at 225°c. Roll out the dough thinly on the floured workbench and take out cakes in the shapes you like. Put them on oven trays with baking paper and bake in the middle of the oven for about 5 minutes. Be careful not to burn them. Allow the cakes to cool on the oven tray and then place them on a grill.

Post Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you, Karen! ❤️

@Magicalblob I promise you they won't be eaten because I don't like frosting, hahaha! But the other ones I gladly ate. Totally worth doing them though, was fun and I'm happy with the results! 🙂
