Feast your eyes and belly on Chapel Street. Bring out the photographer in you.

All levels of photography is welcomed - whether you use just your phone-camera or the most sophisticated equipment.

We will begin our walk from South Yarra Railway Station. Meet up time is 10:15 am.

Then we will head northwards towards the river via Zumbo patisserie, Melbourne High, then Church St Bridge where we will then head south along Chapel Street. We will then continue southwards to arrive at the Oriental Tea House for lunch.

After lunch we will continue our journey and take in places like the Prahran Market, Greville Street, Artists Lane, Pidapipo etc.

A few key spots are marked on the map (see link below) but it is essentially a southward walk from the Yarra towards Windsor Station where we will end up at one of the many eating places clustered around here at about 3 or 4 pm. We can put our final 'watering hole'/cafe/restaurant to a vote. Grab a snack or drink there if you wish. These cafes/restaurants are marked on the map as suggestions e.g. Fonda Mexican, Yellow Bird Cafe, Railway Hotel Windsor etc.

I will be wearing/carrying something with a Google Local Guides insignia on it so you will know who I am. Feel free to bring a friend or two. (Please RSVP.)

You are free to come and go as you wish. While many food, snacks places are listed, you are not compelled to purchase anything from them and are free to take photos discretely/respectfully as you normally would from any public vantage point whether you bought anything or not from the retailer. Lunch stop at the Oriental Tea House was chosen as it appears to be moderately priced. Personally, I have to watch my sugar intake, so for me, it's usually a case of feasting my eyes and photographic love rather than my tastebuds. 😉
