Re: After 1TB subscription ends !

Please note:
The same Google Drive Space is shared by the services "Google Mail", "Google Photo" and "Google Drive".

When your Used Space is larger than your Total Space, you cannot create new items in the above services. That means:

1. Google Mail - cannot receive email, due to lack of space
2. Google Photo - cannot upload Original Quality Photo
3. Google Drive - cannot upload non-GoogleDoc files (which will consume space).

I am writing this reply as all previous reply seems to concern with "Files" only.

Re: After 1TB subscription ends !

Corrie,

Will users whose space is about to expire recieve a warning of this if they will be over the limit afterwards? If not, can something be set up? I dread to think what would happen if people are suddenly unable to recieve email...

Re: Benefits Update: Drive Storage moving from 1TB to 100 GB

Martijn,

I suspect they just realised how much easier it is to get to this level now that there are many more ways of earning points, and how people are doing so much more to earn it!

They need to make sure that LG doesn't just become a money pit that threatens the future of the program 🙂

@Keith A

Please, go to: https://www.google.com/settings/storage

Put a pointer over chart and you'll see date of expiring.

Re: After 1TB subscription ends !

Jacek,

I am aware of that, but most users will not be, and will not think about it until the day it has expired, which is where the problem lies, and why I suggest some sort of notification.

Re: Benefits Update: Drive Storage moving from 1TB to 100 GB

If we think from ur point of view then there might have been sumthing which might have made u do this. But honestly I was not even happy with the 2TB for 2 years. I mean why? We have worked so hard to give and update and upload data to the local guides. We have contributed so much and still keep on contributing. Can't we have some good freebies for lifetime from such a company as Google who in logical words is making its own value by virtue of our help. Now u r getting legit updates and contributions and it is making ur search more powerful and full of data which people need. Can't u even give something for lifetime to the people who keep on adding value to ur online presence. I might seem selfish but in the long run everyone who has worked hard to contribute to ur local guides will realise this. Only one question will hit in mind - Is it worth it?

I agree with AndreasB. The best solution would be to maintain the benefit if you maintain a certain activity level.

What will happen after subscription ends ? do we need to buy storage plans?

Hi @NalinK, you can read about that in our Help Centre: https://goo.gl/rKvdAs

In short, you'll be able to keep those files but if you are over your capacity you'll have to move them elsewhere
