আচার ভারতবর্ষের একটি জনপ্রিয় মুখরোচক খাবার।ভারতের কোন কোন প্রদেশে মূল খাবারের সাথে আচারের ব্যবহারের প্রচলন পাওয়া যায় ।যেমন পাঞ্জাবে রুটির সাথে আচার তাদের প্রধান খাদ্য। আজ আমি বাংলাদেশের পেক্ষাপটে আচার নিয়ে কিছু কথা বলব। বাংলাদেশ আচার একটি জনপ্রিয় খাবার যা মূল খাদ্যের সাথে সহ খাদ্য কিংবা শুধু ও খেয়ে থাকে। বিশেষ করে মেয়েদের কাছে একটি লোভনীয় খাবার। ফল ও বিভিন্ন রকম সবজি দিয়ে আচার তৈরি করা হয়ে থাকে বাংলাদেশ এবং ভারতের। জনপ্রিয় আচার গুলোর মধ্যে আমের আচার বরই তেতুল এবং জলপাই প্রসিদ্ধি। জায়গা ভেদে আচারের প্যাকেট সাইজ অনুসারে এর দাম কম বেশি হয়ে থাকে। 2-3 টাকাতে নিয়ে ২০০ টাকা পর্যন্ত হয়ে থাকে প্যাকেট কিংবা বোতলের দাম।
