I'm having a major issue with nearly 75% of my edits to Google Maps being rejected automatically when there are legitimate issues with the listings. I'm following guidelines set by google in the support section and making a variety of edits which I know are correct.
Examples of rejected edits so far -
- Removing Street names from the Name eg. Changing Co-op Ecclesall Road to Co-op (As the Ecclesall Road part is redundant as that is in the address field and shown on the map with the icon).
- Adding Contact info which is missing.
- Changing hours to official ones on shop windows/websites.
- Marking shops closed down, duplicates.
- Moving markers to a more precise locations.
It's not like it is being moderated it just automatically rejects the edit to the point I don't even get the "Thanks for your edit to Google Maps". I'm based in Sheffield & Derby, UK but I have good knowledge of many other areas. It's very frustrating that i'm putting the time and effort to help the google maps community to then have legitimate edits rejected without consideration!
Is anyone else having this issue? Any idea on what the problem may be? Being a Level 7 guide I feel I have shown I make quality edits so I am confused!
