In Japan, vegetarian restaurants are not a lot. Especially in the countryside, vegetarians are not easy to find them. 

My wife @Christine_T is also pescatarian. So she is making the list for vegetarian restaurants in our region. Everyone try to check it out! 日本のべジタリアンやビーガンレストラン地図作り

I started a project of trying to collect information about vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Japan a while back but it got put on hold with the birth of our son. Seeing your post has inspired me to try to get back on it, even if it's just a little at a time.

it's not complete by any means at all, especially since i don't speak japanese.

seems like a regular ramen shop in a train station, but it's all vegan! 🙂
