maximum number of photos in Connect

Hi everybody, I have tried to post one photo in a post, but I have got this message:

"Uploading DSC00521.JPG resulted in the following error: You have reached your upload limit of 1,000 images."

 

What does it mean? Do I have to delete some previous posted image?

Really there is an upload limit of 1000 images?

Hi @LucioV, @ErmesT, @Csaba, @FaridTDF and @YK1001. We do indeed have a 1,000 photo upload limit here on Connect for all Local Guides, except for moderators (Google Moderators and Connect Moderators). We encourage Local Guides to share their best images here on Connect and perhaps a link to a Google Photos album or Google Maps listing for more images, which should be easy for many as photos being shared on Connect are usually photos already on Google Maps and many people already have images backed up to Google Photos, too. We realize that won't be the best solution for everyone but will continue to look at how images are being shared on Connect and the feedback around it.

Yes.  We can only upload 1000photos.

This is odd. So once we reach this limit, we ought to stop contributing? There are less than 160K members here.

Hi @Csaba,

 

I have no personal knowledge, but I will guess Connect being on Lithium platform, lots of flexibility might not be there.

Well, I only have 148 images uploaded now but I have only been a member since August. In a few year's time, I may also reach the 1,000 quota. And if I need to start deleting old images, some older topics may get broken.

Hola @ErmesT, este tema yo lo tuve semanas atrás somos tres o cuatros los que posteamos muchas fotos en Connect, como bien indica @YK1001, por el momento existe esa limitación, ya que Connect es muy joven, se planteó el caso para ser resuelto, espero que pronto te pueda dar buenas noticias.

Si @FaridTDF, ho visto il tuo post ma non riuscivo a capire qual'era il problema. Mi sembra che poi tu hai risolto, ma ho pensato che ovviamente i moderatori non averssero un limite di post, anche perché tu hai già superato le 1000 immagini

Honestamente no se cuál es el problema y el motivo, pero pronto lo tendremos resuelto, ten un poco de paciencia @ErmesT, esto es un pequeño inconveniente, que molesta un poco.
