When i will get updated Map for Chennai and entire Tamil Nadu?

Hi,

   I'm Seeing a map of Chennai is little old, may be one or two years, When Google will update it? 

Are we need to do any initiate for this from our(LGs) side.

The more popular a place is, the more often it will be updated. Some parts of the country are updated weekly like New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles and other important metro areas. More rural places where change is at a slower pace get fewer updates. If you are so curious for the update, Go to "Follow your World", This allows you to place a spot on Google Maps that you want to update  and Google  will alert you whenever that spot is updated.

Yes Chennai is there in the Maps... I have added few pointers in Chennai, even though i live in United States from May 16th 1996... Originally from Tamil Nadu, India -as you can see from my name as well as you can check blogs sridhar-rangaswamy.com and drjustkidding.com 

Yes, I am one of the Hostelling International Board member earlier so i used to provide Input about India to travellers coming from United States
