Typo in email

Just got an email with the subject: Someone out there needs a guide like you Near the top of the email, in bold letters, it says: Who Will You Guide Next? that should be: Whom Will You Guide Next?

Re: Typo in email

Hi @chacham, good catch! You're absolutely correct that "who" should be "whom" since it's the object of the verb in the sentence.

It wasn't a typo, though. We really loved the line and thought it sounded stiff with "whom," so we decided to fudge the rules a bit. As written it is technically wrong, but we think it reflects the way most people would naturally speak the question out loud.

We were wondering if anyone would notice, and you're the very first. Sharp eye!

Sheesh, between you and Twitter (the cringe-worthy "who to follow") what's the world coming to? 🙂
