The ability to change the colour of each list is a must. I can't believe this was suggested so long ago and is still not implemented. 

I kept googling on how to change these colours and nothing comes up.

While there's no update on implementation of this feature, yet, we do appreciate your patience and ask that you bear with us throughout this process. In the meantime, continue to submit your feedback via the Google Maps application - it'll increase the chances for change. 

There usually isn't a time frame for feedback to be implemented into Google Maps, but, we'll keep our fingers crossed and keep the conversation alive.

Raphael, Your suggestions are excellent also I present that problem with the lists, try to find options within the configuration but there is nothing that allows differences lists. I hope you accept your suggestions which are excellent, congratulations ...

I too hope that pin coloring will soon become a thing. My map is getting very cluttered from using this otherwise great feature.
