Image editing option in Google Maps is one of the best and super handy thing. But there are some pics with data that need to be blurred and this image editing tool got no such function so it would be simply great if they add this function in coming updates and some extra functionalities like auto date addition so that people get idea of time when the pic was taken.

when you look at photos on the google map -, you can actually already see the date on the which the photo was posted although it does'nt mean that it was the date of when the photo was taken....but I am not sure that it could be very useful to have both dates.

I don't know if you get see dates when view a place. But my point is place modifies and go under changes so some places may not match at all with the pics. It won't be a bad idea to have rough idea of time the image was posted on.
