How to add a new category name in Place's Catogories List eg. Sweets Shop, Nimko Shop, Tea Point etc

hello everybody,

If anyone know Kindly help me to add some new category in place's category list as there is no category name found for Sweets Shop, Nimko Shop, Tea Point / Tea shop in listed categories. and these all are common type of trades in Pakistan which found in every area and every sector and i think so in every 10th street of Karachi Pakistan.

for example you can found a French Fries Stall in each or every 2nd street in Korangi Town, Karachi but there is no category found to point it.

My requested categories names are as follows:

French Fries Stall, Sweets Shop, Tea Point, Nimko Shop, Samosa Pakora Shops, etc.

If you have ever face this issue and not found any must have category name, Kindly put the name here to make Maps more helpful,

suggestions and ideas are most welcome.

Adding new categories is amazing feedback and some have requested it before. I think you should post this in the feedback and feature request section so that its entertained better.

Oh I totally agree on this!! like how do I add "Tortilleria" or "Miscelanea" I think I'll go to the feature discussion as suggested

@ZeeshanAKhan, I agree. It would be great if we could add new categories.

Some of my ideas are the followings: waterfall, fountain, monument, information tables, for example an interesting offline city map:), etc.

@HashimN yes, I usually do that 🙂 but it would be nice to have more specific categories anyway.

Thank you @ErmesT to move my post in Feedack and Feature Requests , and also Thanks @HashimN @Andras_H @MillyS for your support on this issue and also many thanks for your suggested categories, i feel that should be good addition in categories list, also i was yesterday at  railway station where I found a shop which providing services of Photocopy and Communication (e.g. Fax, Internet, Call etc.) So I was confused about category selection for it, ethier I should have to add it in "Photocopier supplier" or "Telecommunication Service Provider" because we can not assign more than one category (also there is no category found for only "Photocopier" or "Photocopy Service") 

These are some considerable problem in Google Maps categories, and my suggestion is that google maps have also some description / details / intro of each and every category in a popup on the same page or either on a different form.

Hopeful to see Google Maps Official Answer on it soon.

Some other interesting POI types idea which can be useful:

• public drinking water fountain 
• water fountain
• look-out place (not a tower, just a place where there is a good view)
• post kiosk / box (we have post services, but this is for a post self-service kiosk)
• public bench
