Edit a place creation when approval is pending

I added a place but after submitting I noticed that city name spelling went wrong due to auto correct.

Place creation is pending. How can I correct it.

Hello @Companion there no any way to correct or add any information before the publish on Google maps. You can wait for approval. After approved that place you can change the name.

Submit again with the correct spelling.

There is a good chance that your first edit request will not be applied.   However, if it is applied, then you could send a new edit request to close that point-of-interest --that is, the one that was not correct -- with the reason option "never existed"
