Does reporting a duplicate of a place get you points if Google confirms it to be true?

Hey Neil,

Looking at the rewards page it doesn't mention anything about reporting a duplicated picture for points.

So as far as I know you only get points for:

1. writing a review
2. adding a missing business
3. uploading photo's
4. answering questions
5. adding or correcting information

So unless someone can prove me wrong there seems no way to gain points for reporting a duplication.

Hi @Neil31, as @Jasper_db mentioned, Local Guides earn points by contributing to Google Maps. That said, reporting a duplicate of a place and getting verification for that will not give you additional points. Hope this clarifies!

Thank you for the response.

It is part of the edit place option.

If you move a place or mark it closed you get a point.

However, the duplicate of another place seems to have no use at all. 

Aside from that, it seems that no action is being done for this. I'm trying to clean up the mess done a Google Local Guide Troll in our place. He created multiple copies of places in our community.
