Deleting Google Photos deletes Photos from Google Maps

When i clean my google photos, every now and then, I also see that my photo count goes down 😞 This has happened in the past when i lost nearly 50-75k views and its happening now too! Am i doing something wrong because I was told that photo deletion won't delete it from maps!

lol i should have been more specific. I think i read it (https://support.google.com/photos/answer/6128858?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&hl=en) on google photos help but it is not so clear anymore 😞

That is very true. The Support pages are very opaque regarding the end result on Maps of deleting images elsewhere. There are several threads on the matter here on Connect and on other Google forums and there is no clear answer.
