BUG :
Of late, I have noticed that the newly added listings through Google Maps have Local name type. (If I recall correctly, earlier no Name types were assigned while adding through Google Maps)
Quoting from the Google Map Maker Help article on Name Types :
The name of the place entered in the common language for the region the feature is located in.
Local Name type should be added only for the names entered in the regional language. (For, instance, Malayalam in Kerala State of India). The addition of Local Name Type for English names is unnecessary and brings in bad data which needs to corrected through Google Map Maker

Please fix the bug on a priority basis considering the plethora of listings being added through Google Maps every single day. Thanks
FOOT NOTES :
I admit Google Map Maker and Google Local Guides program are different on their own, but there's a considerable overlap among the two (more like a grey area) and all my attempts to reach out to GMM team (sending feedback through GMM website, GMM Product Forums) for fixing this bug were futile. May be, if both the teams work in tandem, this could be solved easily
