Welcome to the new and improved Connect forum!

For months, we’ve been hard at work updating Connect to make it a more enjoyable and inclusive experience for everyone. Many of our updates are the result of direct feedback, including suggestions that Local Guides made at last year’s big event in California. So thank you! We’re so excited to finally share this redesign with you.

On the new Connect, we wanted to make it easier to discover posts you care about most. We’ve created site sections based on popular topics. Whether you’re a foodie or a photographer, you’ll find posts you’re interested in with just one click from the site menu.

If you want to read about Local Guides news and Google Maps updates first, check Announcements frequently. Here, you’ll get insider information straight from Googlers, and before official emails go out.

Local Guides come from all over the world and speak many different languages. To make Connect a more inclusive experience, the forum is now available in 33 languages. We’ve also updated our accessibility features so that Local Guides using screen readers can more easily participate on Connect. Now, even more Local Guides will be able to discover your amazing contributions and create their own.

While we’re incredibly proud of the Local Guides program, we also know there’s always room for improvement. That’s why we’ve launched the Idea Exchange, a way for you to share your feedback with us directly. Use the Idea Exchange to share your ideas for Google Maps, Connect, perks, and more. You can also vote on ideas from other Local Guides, ask them questions, and offer suggestions. Popular ideas will be reviewed by Googlers and taken into consideration.

A local guide can help for no travelers about local information.Thak You TrafCic. If I travel to another city, I want to join a local guide about Google maps. Google maps can help navigate the street direction and store information. I am proud to join Google map a local guide,

I am glad to visit this site whish can be able to became a great association around the world Our first objectif is:"Help Internaut's" We can for exemple add icone for Direct Msg,Hangouts like other plateforme. Slowly slowly I hope that we can arrive to something if we definit objectif  for the site. Two or three years ago reveal that Programme Local Guides is a great potentiel.

@TraciC, salam kenal.  Saya suka dengan media model yang diciptakan sekarang ini.  Karena bahasa disini sudah tidak menjadi batasan lagi.  Selama ini yang terjadi karena tidak adanya mediator yang bisa menghubungkan kami untuk saling memahami bahasa satu sama lain.  yang pastinya saya kagum dan bangga  pada teman teman saya disini yang sudah bekerja keras membentuk tempat ini agar kami di dunia bisa saling berkomunikasi, dengan begitu manfaatnya bisa kami rasakan.

Local guides are new places and it can improve the directions. To find the directions can be creative the maps. To navigate the street is to involve the arts. A local guide is one of the creative ideas.

I honestly love how the new connect looks infact i am proud to say that i was one of the beta testers for a couple months before it was changed and am really glad that alot of the suggestions that we made in the beta testing phase were actually implemented, What do you love most about the new connect interface?

As far as I understand your comment, you need to communicate in your Language. You could change your profile setting to a language you prefer by going to Preferences in your account.

Just to let you know, now Connect is made to be a more inclusive experience, the forum is available in 33 languages. We’ve also updated our accessibility features so that Local Guides using screen readers can more easily participate on Connect. This way, even more Local Guides will be able to discover each others amazing contributions and create their own.

Google Map is an volunteer work for community help Local Guide From all all over the world contribute their own experience about places at this forum and this is not business for profit and Local Guides are not Google Employees but for appreciation Google let the Local Guides to enjoy with gift perk and rewards for their great contribution and these rewards depend on youuyouu level and contribution.

First of all, new look and way its arranged look fabulous. Big kudos to all the team involved in the same!!!

However, Can you publish the release notes of new LGC containing major additions and deletions? This will allow us to distinguish between purposeful deletions and those missed out in LGC.
