Watch Local Guides visit Google during Connect Live 2018

151 top Local Guides from 59 countries attended Connect Live 2018 to connect with each other and share their feedback with Google. The group included professors, marketing experts, parents, accessibility champions, LGBTQ allies, and more. Together, they shared their ideas, attended talks given by Googlers about upcoming product features, and learned some tips for sharing even better contributions on Google Maps.

I had a tear in my eye (oh, ok you got me, probably more!) watching this and remembering the great experiences, the inspiration and the enthusiasm of this event and all the AMAZING Local Guides around the world who attended (and all those who did not), and contributed to Google Maps. It was truly unforgettable. What an incredible bunch of people the Local Guides are, and thanks to Google for helping us to connect and enhance the value of our contributions. It was great to feel heard, and to hear feedback from all over the world in relation to features, problems, and what is important to users of Maps. Thanks for allowing the Local Guides to have a voice, and help shape the future.

paginaswebengdl, the requirements are very simple. Be involed in local guides. check out amazing places and let others know what is awesome about them, then come into the local guides forum and participate. That's pretty much it. The more active you are, the better your chances.

What I love about this community is that when you meet a fellow local guide you just connect.. And within minutes you feel like you've know each other for years.
