Use Tour Creator to help university students learn about your career

In May, we introduced you to Tour Creator, a new Google tool that makes it easy for anyone to create a virtual reality tour right from their computer. Local Guides are already using it to make immersive, 360-degree tours of their favorite neighborhood destinations--from local cafes to colleges to museums.

Now, the Tour Creator team is partnering with universities around the world to make virtual tours for career centers, career fairs, and alumni networks.

With permission from your employer, capture 360 photos that offer a glimpse of your day-to-day and point out any special equipment you need to do your job. Add information about how you ended up in your career, what you do, and why you enjoy doing it.

1. Software engineer Angelica Inguanzo shows what a day in the life of a YouTube employee is like.

2. Female firefighters at the Fire Department of the City of New York show us around the firehouse. 

3. Vijay Kumar, the dean of engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, gives a glimpse of what it’s like to work in higher education.

Great tool and nice initiative. This is an opportunity to share workspaces and equipment used in various jobs. The fire fighters clip is quite interesting. Looking forward to more interesting virtual tours.

@AriMar Hey I was just trying out the virtual tours section and am having some issues using the software on my Samsung Chromebook Plus right now.  It is giving me these weird blue box distortions in the middle of images.  It only happens when I search for a place and then go to it.  As soon as I start moving my mouse around in streetview I get these boxes.  I wasn't sure where to send this off to as it has been an issue for me.  Any ideas on where I should send this to?  blue boxes popping up in street view on creators local tours after searching a place and going to it.
