Hi everyone! David here from the Local Guides marketing team. It was great to meet a number of you at Connect Live last October, where you may have heard me speak about our community mission.

As the Local Guides community continues to grow, it’s important to have a message that unifies, excites, and inspires everyone. So, we’ve been working on a fresh new mission statement to capture just how amazing our Local Guides community is. We’d love to know what you think of it!

If you have a few minutes, please answer this quick survey about our new mission statement before January 24.

Thanks for letting me comment... having worked in Tourism since I was 18....and from 45...I have always felt this feeling of unprofessional vibes...so difficult to explain or express myself.. I used to write a lot on TripAdvisor.My opinion is the intrernal mechanism of Google and how it defines A Google Guide is gimmicky,no question there are smart people around... but I have always wondered and Question...Why doesn't Google screen,vet,take this seriously and put it up a notch???...easy...pay people who are responsible for Geographical locations, content corrections...I can go on and on...Than Th again! David...

I am the most important tour guide in Google and I have millions of millions of
People take and implement all my experiences and experience in those sites. So I want a detailed explanation on the level and strength of this message.

Why Google does not work the prizes ?? And why is your guide to inform millions of followers. Did you know that the number of followers benefit from Google ?? And Google can not pay money prizes. Knowing that the whole world follows Google
I do not think this is a convincing answer from the biggest information company in the world

@Doom_doom would paying money to the guides take away from the spirit of the project? If people were 'working' to make money as a reviewer, it seems unlikely that their motives would remain 'pure' in my humble opinion. What are your thoughts?

I wish the LG program dies this year and a very bad karma to googlers who lied to me. You made us work but gave no respect. I was very close to Google before, I was invited in MTV (not as LG), but now, after my experience with this program, I cannot trust any googler anymore.
