When we introduced our Guiding Stars program last year, we were so impressed with the passion and dedication of the Local Guides community. This year is no different. As the world continues to change, so many of you continue to inspire us and help your communities in various ways, on Google Maps and beyond.
Today we are announcing our 2021 Guiding Stars, the Local Guides who have gone above and beyond this year to make a difference. From championing inclusivity to advocating for local businesses, this year’s honorees are guiding the way for others through their contributions on Google Maps.
We are continually amazed by so many of you for the countless ways you help your communities on and off the map, and choosing just 50 Local Guides was not easy! This year’s honorees surfaced often in our review of thousands of Local Guides. We combed through their contributions on Google Maps, their activity on Connect, their involvement in their local communities, community nomination form submissions, and more.
