Here on Connect, we strive to keep our most active Local Guides updated on changes and updates on Google Maps. Read on to learn more about two recent adjustments to the app.
You might have noticed that the entry point for the “Check the Facts” feature has been moved. Now you can get to it by tapping on Contribute > More ways to contribute > Check the Facts (in the carousel at the top).
We have also removed the “Discover missing info” feature from the Google Maps app. For those of you who are less familiar with it, this was a map view that showed several places with outstanding questions for users to answer.
While these features as you know them have been adjusted, our team is always exploring how we can update functionality and features to make the app even better. We’re currently working to create an improved user experience in future iterations. We'll continue to develop new ways for Local Guides to answer questions, help make edits, and complete other tasks on Google Maps.
