Solution Button on each post.

Hie,

It took some time to understand the new connect but still there are few things are missing. I'm going to share information about one missing button from connect. Today I was trying to accept reply of a Google Moderator on my post. There is no button available to do so until we click on 3 dot at the button of each post. 

Figure shows where to place the button. 

In connect 1.0 there was a button, but not available in connect 2.0.

I have to admit, that one of the most rewarding elements of the original Connect was to receive the emails stating 'Your answer has been accepted as solution' @deepakjhic 

And the fact that it is so hidden now results in almost none of those mails coming in anymore, which definitely has had a negative impact on my motivation to provide answers to new posts.

Hi @deepakjhic , loocking at my moderator private stats, in one year I have removed more than 350 "wrongly attributed" solutions, just because a lot of LGs was using the solution button exactly like the Kudo button.

I agree that there are several replies that should to be flagged as "solution" and I am trying to help in this, but the visible button was creating a lot of trouble.

In My opinion what we need is a new post on the help desk about the meaning of solution, and how to use it.

Also (already requested) I think that, when a post have a solution, the solution flag should be visible without opening the post

There was a post in past which is no longer available in appropriate section.

Thank you for sharing your idea with us. 

I would like to let you know that, this is something that we won't implement and your idea will be closed. As we see the currently steps on marking as solution is working well and Local Guides can always visit Help Desk article for more information. 

In addition to that, by having those steps it will prevent random and incorrect use of solutions.
