Second set of hours needed for food and drink places in GMaps

In the UK places like hotels and public houses have opening hours and food service hours which are not the same. In my opinion it would be very useful for travellers to know when food is going to be available. It is often the case that places might be open all day Sunday but only have food from 12:00 until 14:00.  Similarly places might be open on a Monday but not be serving any food!  I think a second set of 'food service' hours might be an easy and useful addition for places offering food . Locally we have garden centres, department stores, supermarkets and several other categories of location that have different hours for food service. I have made new sites for some places to identify the different opening hours but it would be easier if the user could see these under one site heading.

Any thoughts from fellow Local Guides on this issue most welcome!

Hi @ColinUKtyke,
I suggest you check out the department rule. In cases, like you describe where there is one location with different "departments" that have different opening hours the two "functions" could be eligible to each have their own POI on Maps.

Besides restaurants inside hotels, the shops that one often find at a gas station are both examples where you may add another POI.

You may find this old post interesting.

Thanks for the reply @JeroenM

I have done that already for the garden centre but it does not seem an efficient way to get the information across especially for things like UK public houses and hotels which serve food at different timings to the alcohol opening times.. At least it has been thought about! Thanks again.
