One of the most liked features in Map Maker was if I was searching for a business listing, it had no impact on what I saw on Google Maps or via other Marketing platforms. Now on Google Maps, the search history now drives everything I see by default on Maps and for marketing purposes (I've fixed so many restaurant listings for one chain that no matter where I browse I see the markers and advertisements for their locations - and this is a chain that I will only eat at as a last resort for personal reasons). Yet if I switch over to "incognito" mode, I still have to log in, and the search results are still tracked - so it is not truly "incognito".
Therefore, the Maps search engine should be flagged that if I make an edit to the results of a search, the search should not be considered for future suggestions, or some way of going to a dedicated "editing" mode that saves no searches as it is understood that the searches are not indicative of what I really have interests in.
