Search for Guides and their contributions by location?

I would like to be able to view the guides and their posts that live close to me. At present there does not appear to be a location search when I click on your suggested link 'Connect with local guides' https://www.localguidesconnect.com/ in the email I just received. I organise a local meetup group so this would be helpful for me when organising venues for us to go to.

Hello @NZGuide, this will probably never be done by Google because of privacy reasons: not all local guides will want Google to reveal their location to other local guides.

But something that might be possible to request: if you organize a meetup, Google could actively send a mail (like the mails about how many views of your pictures etc) to local guides from the geographic area near your meetup.

1. Hi, I just found that, in localguidesconnect we cannot filter the categories, location wise, so this functionality would be much better to connect with people who are near to you.

Create a tab and zip-code search bar that will allow Local Guides to find any post, users, and meet-ups that are located within the search parameters. 

The tab would show the most recent activities and post near you.  Similar to the other tabs (i.e Photography, Food & Drink, Travel, Meet-ups, etc.) but would display posts from individuals near you within every category.

The zip-code function would allow individuals to search for post, users, and meet-ups in searched area.  This could be helpful for individuals moving to another area and/or travelers.  

Most importantly this would be helpful for individuals to bond with other Local Guides in their communities due to the lost of Google+.  Currently in LGConnect you're only able to search for individuals by user name and/or posts that contain specific words.
