Ranking Places within a geographical region

I would like to see the places we review ranked against each other based on star ratings.  Ideally within a set geography, with the option to user define the geography such as within a certain radius, city, region, etc.  Similar to what TripAdvisor does but better!

Thank you for your idea, @SeanMc2! We need more information to better understand what you’re suggesting. Could the lists of favourite locations work well enough in your opinion to help with such comparisons?
