Profits and Profit Sharing

Check out the new pricing structure for information that we Local Guides have contributed.

Google is making a lot of money off of the data is it possible that the perks could be better, or even that Local Guides could share in the profits? 

For example if I've uploaded 1000 photos, and they are viewed 5,000,000 times through a paid app, Google's suggestion for that kind of volume is to "Contact Sales for a volume discount" ... that indicates there is serious money changing hands. 

Why shouldn't Local Guides have a piece of that, if only a small fraction? If not, then make the perks better!

Hi @Mike_A_. The Local Guides team has no plans to monetarily compensate Local Guides or any Google Maps contributors for their contributions to Google Maps at this time.  I think you'd also be interested in one of my earlier posts, Why be a Local Guide?

We welcome specific ideas about perks you'd like to receive here in the Idea Exchange under this same category (Perks), however, monetary compensation is not possible.

Hi Team Google,

I would like to draw your attention towards "LOCAL GUIDES" , they are working like anything for google's betterment aswellas google's users free of cost , they spend thousand of hours to improve google's map but you are not giving them single pennies benefit. Can't Mr Sundar pichai think that LOGUIDE should get few benifit so they can work with more eagerness. Hope All local guide would love to vote for this and Team google will also think on this.
