Correo de notificación de que se va a realizar una quedada en tu ciudad

Local Guides come from all walks of life, most of us very enthusiastic about every bit of the program, but without the luxury of constantly checking the meet-up board to see what's being hosted near us. That's why I think we should get the option of signing up for meet-up notifications in our registered Local Guide locations, that way, when a meet-up is hosted by someone within so short a period, you simply get an  email message informing you about the hosted meet-up near your location and you decide if it fits into your calendar or not.

Another issue I am seeing is LG's from all over the world are signing up for our meet-ups in NZ and obviously NOT turning up. This creates a problem for the host worrying about the venue being big enough etc. I'm not sure why these people do this because they obviously dont have any intentions of coming. Maybe the meetup could have an option for added wh turned up at the end of the meet-up

Propongo, que en la configuración de Local Guides se ponga  si quieres recibir notificación de quedadas que se realicen en unas ciertas ciudades que usted ha elegido.

De esa forma se puede conseguir que mayor cantidad de gente se entere de las quedadas de tu ciudad.

Espero atentamente los comentarios de los Local Guides para saber si es interesante esta propuesta.

Hi Googlers and moderators, as we are aware that whenever a meetup got approved, a meetup post automatically got created on connect under meetup category. Thereafter we used to tag other fellow LG of respective areas to invite them or for promoting our meetup. 

My idea is that, all the LG of that area should be notified regarding the upcoming meetup through a official email (of connect). For example, "Someone has planned a meetup in your area, click on the link if you wish to join (or to know more about)".

I have noticed that almost every time, some interested LGs missed the meetup due to non-information. It will also help us to make a good Local Guide Community.
