Local Guides Card

My idea can be strange for some people. But I should write. I propose create Local Guides Card - like Press Card. Sometimes I have a big trouble when I want to take photos or videos for Google Maps. Of course, it depends of countries and cities. But in Ukraine (in Kyiv, capital of my country) I had many situations when it was prohibited to take photos. The store security wanted to call police. I would like to emphasize - it's no tipical situations. Ukrainian laws are very specific. I don't know about situation in others countries. Ukrainian Constitution says: people can collect all information. But law about information says: people can collect just some information. And security can prohibit to take photos and shoot videos.

Of course every time I explain who are Local Guides. I tell about program.

I propose to create Local Guides Card for 8-10 levels.

I think we need something that identifies us when we are on the streets taking pictures or writing reviews, such as a cap or shirt and some type of identification.

This will help us to enter more places.

Want a Digital ID Card from Google for this Volunteer service. We help Google by giving Google Map more Details and for that Google Map becomes more and more attractive to people. 

Some time we have to face many insult for not having Id or people Making fun about our free service to Google. 

If you Give us a ID that show me a local Guide Volunteer of Google Map and also mention that we are not your Employees but the Social Worker, that is enough for us.

I have had the same problem. How do I prove who I am and what I am doing with the pictures. What I do is show them my public profile and/or I have them open Maps on their phone and go to one of my pictures to click on my icon to go to my profile.  Some kind of digital ID card would be great or something like a Press Pass.  An  ID Card with our information on one side and list of rules that we need to followfollow on the other side would be great for us and them.

Saludos desde Panamá, la idea de una identificación de Guia Local es excelente, eh tomado esta decición de estar identificando y actualizando lugares pensando precisamente en facilitar a las personas locales y extranjeros que visitan nuestro pais a encontrar los lugares que buscan con exactitud, pero en ocaciónes eh tenido inconvenientes con los dueños de comercios, sobre todo bancos, de explicarle el porque estoy tomando fotos del lugar y las puertas donde estan sus horarios, tratando de que me comprendan y dejen identifivar el lugaren el mapa... que al final ellos son los beneficiados, pero como no llevo algo que me identifique, piensan que las fotos son para planificar un robo😭.

En resumen... espero que google maps tome en cuenta esta idea.

How do I down vote something?  I disagree.  If someone doesn't know what Google maps is by now or doesn't want to be in it, then don't take the pictures and don't post it.

IT will be so good if google also contribute out somethings for local guides as they contribute for maps. Its not necessary that every should ids because they(some people )can misuse it also. Maps can gave ids to those who are above from level 7 or else from above that it will helps a lot . If the rest of local guiders  also think its a good idea then vote(thumps up ) it out guys  ??

As its not necessary that the id should be given as a symbolism of these contributers work here but as a volunteer IDs that these people's contribute in google . 😊
