Summary: I would like to suggest Google integrates My Maps with Google Maps to enable customizable icons and to allow sharing for edit.
Detailed description: Whenever I traveled up till 1.5 years ago, I used My Maps to create a map showing restaurants, cafes, museums, and sightseeing sites of my destination. Icons for each category can have different colors and shapes. This was super convenient. This map could be shared (for viewing only but not for editing).
Yet, Google seems to have abandoned My Maps, at least in the mobile version. Now, if I mark a place in Google Maps, I cannot customize the icon shape and color. This is inconvenient and frustrating. I believe these maps can be shared, but only for viewing.
Now, I would like to suggest Google integrate My Maps with Google Maps to enable customizable icons and to allow sharing for edit. This would make travel a lot easier.
