Google maps should focus more on INDIA-Cope with its Changing Infrastructure - Status changed to: Closed

Being Fastest Growing economy....youngest country....tourist attraction...google maps will be used actively by residents as well as foreigners...INDIA is changing with lots of Infrastructure and other projects happening...there is need of frequent updation of places and maps...i felt google maps takes time with edits...this should be faster...also Local guides from our country should be given recognition...India is a huge market and one day it will have most internet users in world...Its high time google should do something to ensure its maps changes or updates quickly....and recognize Indian Local Guides as they will be of great help to Google ...they are their assets

Thank you for sharing with us, can you be more specific about your idea? because it seems like you are providing more than one idea in this post. 

It is best to share one idea at a time, to make sure we fully understand it. 

Regarding the idea about recognition we have existing ideas that support the topic you're posting about, which is about Award certificates to Local Guides at different levels. 

For that reason, I am changing your idea status to needs information.

Following are the ideas i wanted to convey:

1. Google Edits take time to get Approval....edits should get faster approvals and should be live

2. Local guides query desk should be setup to help local guides address their concerns

3. Google can start campaign of "Swacch Bharat" cleanliness drive to support Indias  cleaniness objective...a simple advertise on cleanliness from google will benefit both google and  INDIA

4. Google maps should have certain voice messages for drivers to avoid spitting ...littering and phone while driving

As I mentioned before, please share one idea at a time and be very thorough on each idea that you are suggesting, in order for us to understand your idea. 

If you have an idea, that is different than the Google Maps edit (in this case) then please create a separate post about the idea. 

Regarding faster approval on edits, we do have an existing idea about it, which is Automatic approval for Edits and Reporting Photos for Levels 8 and above.

In addition to that I will mark this idea as closed.
