I suggest to have the  Collection of Local guide across the Globe on a WhatsApp group to share Ideas And resolve Issues concerning Contributing on Google Map for easy connectivity and instant resolution of challenges encountered.

I just wanted to let you know that from time to time there's a hangout with a moderator that you can join =). I have also seen that a few Local Guides are creating a WhatsApp groups for local people.

I don't think it's a good idea to give your phone number to random people(group members) so I think a facebook page would be better

Phone numbers are private things, and don't get me wrong but I really don't like to give my numbers to people that I really don't know. Facebook groups, Google groups etc. could be a place for this.

Hi @Naveen23, the whole idea of Connect is to have people use this platform to interact with other LGs not take the converstaions outside. With that said, there are many unofficial large what'sapp groups created by Local Guides.

I am in a couple of WhatsApp groups for Local Guides and can say the following:

- Any type of messenger/chat app style group has serious restrictions.
- The group either needs to be rather small or very strict in what it is used for, so members are not inundated with messages.
- Examples of good use, are WhatsApp group focussing on team-work and Alert groups (for example only notifying members about new features in Maps/ LG Program).
