Goodie Bags for Local Guides for their Meetups and Top Local Guides of Regions/Cities

Hi Google Local Guide Team, 

It is my request to introduce goodie bags for top contributors. As I was selected for Connect Live 18 and since I can't attend the summit because of visa issues, I would suggest this to Google to do send Goodie bags for local guides who are on top in their cities

Good idea. Google is a global brand. If not a Goodie bag, even an official Local Guide T shirt or Cap will also be nice. 

Small things matter a lot. While it won't be a big deal for Google, little perks like these will increase the interest of LG and probably might increase the quality of input

Yeah, now I can fully agree with this idea. I live in so small country, that it takes at least ten years that one is being selected to the big meeting. Good idea @AIMAN_SAEED.

@AIMAN_SAEED This is a great idea. I think the swag bag, if you will, should include things that promote the Local Guide Program and promote the city you represent as well.

I would disagree with the idea of goodie bags. I think there are more meaningful ways to contribute to the confidence and appreciation towards LG members, such as a certificate or clothing to wear and promote.

I agree! At least a plaque or something like they give to top YouTubers after reaching certain levels of subscribers

Fantastic idea.  Guides should receive gifts, especially at LOWER LEVELS gifts should only be something that would help with local guiding, for example "Google Local Guide" branded wearables like caps bags and clothing, even if we pay the postage. This can only help raise awareness of the local guide activities in the area and will help the guides credibility when approaching local business owners for information or helping the less tech savvy owners claim their business and update the info. Higher levels maybe Play credit and Max levels money off Google and their partners products.

Is there a way to check top local guides in the cities? Given how much we contribute to this forum this seems like a great idea. i hope Devs consider it

Please submit your suggestion as a separate idea as it's different from the one you're commenting on.

In your post, make sure to include as much information as possible, giving specific details and explaining what exactly you'd like to see/have as a feature, etc.
