Detection of caps correction

Maps algorithm should automatically detect when you edit a location name that is all caps or vice-versa.

This way the edits would go live much faster, and the name wouldn't change, just the caps.

Hello @ValeriaA_, although the idea sounds nice, it might be quite difficult without making an extensive list of exceptions. A few examples:

  • JCPENNEY should become JCPenney, not Jcpenney
  • KFC should not be changed
  • mcdonald's should become McDonald's, not Mcdonald's
  • short words in longer names (of, in, etc) should often not get capitalized

@JanVanHaver you are totally right. I have already thought about it but I didn't know how to put it into words.

I don't intend it to automatically correct the caps, but automatically detect when someone makes a correction of caps. Maaaaybe even have a database with the most common brands (like the ones you mentioned) to avoid these common mistakes.
